Applications for Student Membership in the Dwyer Inn of Court Due This Friday

DWYER INN OF COURT MEMBERSHIP APPLICATIONS ARE DUE FRIDAY

Current 2Ls are invited to apply for 2022-23 membership in the William L. Dwyer Inn of Court, an educational and mentoring organization dedicated to the pursuit of high-quality, ethical lawyering.

The general membership is made up of judges, professors, law firm partners, prosecutors, defenders, and other lawyers and meets on campus the second Tuesday night of each of the nine months of the school year for dinner, networking, and a continuing legal education (CLE) presentation. The Inn has been meeting remotely this past year but plans to return to in-person gatherings in the fall. Students are assigned to sub-groups, called pupilages, and work with the judges and lawyers in their pupilages to develop and help lead CLEs (each pupilage presents one CLE for the year).

To apply to the Dwyer Inn of Court, email a resume and letter of interest explaining why you want to be a member and demonstrating your interest in litigation or dispute resolution by Friday, April 29 at noon to both Prof. Kathryn Boling and Asst. Dean Erin Fullner.

Student membership dues will be covered by the Office of the Dean.

If you have questions, email Prof. Boling or Dr. Fullner. Both are available to discuss membership in the Inn.
