2012 1L Patent Litigation and Patent Fellowship

Students can now apply for our 2012 1L Diversity Patent Litigation and Patent Fellowship positions on at www.perkinscoie.com/1LPatent.

The Perkins Coie Patent Litigation and Patent Fellowships provide a $7500 academic scholarship and a paid summer associate position following the first year of law school for 1L students with particular technical backgrounds and an interest in patent litigation and/or patent prosecution. Our summer associates work on real legal matters while working for and learning from attorneys who service the needs of Fortune 100 and 500 companies in industry areas around the nation. Few firms, if any, in the country have our patent litigation expertise and our deep technical bench.

The following offices are offering Patent Litigation and Patent Fellowship positions. Please click on one of the offices below to apply. Applicants may apply to one office only. Patent Litigation Fellows will work in the Patent Litigation practice area on client legal matters under the supervision of our attorneys. When possible, Fellows will be involved in client meetings, negotiations, telephone conferences and court appearances.

Patent Litigation Fellowship: Palo Alto, Phoenix, San Diego
Qualified candidates must have an undergraduate/graduate degree(s) in either Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering. Previous professional experience is strongly preferred.

Patent Fellowship: Seattle
Patent Fellows will work in both the Patent Litigation and Patent Prosecution practice areas. Qualified candidates must have an undergraduate/graduate degree(s) in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Chemical Engineering. Previous professional experience is strongly preferred.
