Advocate for Workplace Justice

The Peggy Browning Fund educates and inspires the next generation of advocates for workplace justice. Through fellowships, workers' rights conferences, networking and other programs, they provide unique opportunities for law students to work for economic and social justice.

Learn About Tax LLM Programs and Tax/Estate Planning Practice

The Tax and Estate Planning Focus Areas are pleased to invite you to an information session about pursuing a masters degree (LL.M.) in tax law after graduating from law school. 

Professors Diane Lourdes Dick, John Eason (chair of the Estate Planning Focus Area), and Lily Kahng (chair of the Tax Focus Area) and will be on hand to talk about their practice experiences and to address questions such as, When do I need to apply to LLM programs?  Where should I apply and what are my chances of being admitted?  Will a tax LLM improve my marketability?  If so, how?  What JD classes do I need to take to prepare for the LLM program? 
 
The session will be held on Wednesday, October 15, @ noon in Room 109Snacks will be served.

FANGS is the Federal Attorneys Networking Group of Seattle - attorneys from federal agencies right here in Seattle (Labor, Education, Health & Human Services, Justice, etc.). They are hosting a happy hour and would like YOU to attend!

Annual Criminal Law Soirée

The King County Washington Women Lawyers are hosting their Annual Criminal Law Soirée. The purpose of the event is to highlight the work of KCWWL's Criminal Law section and to foster communication and collaboration among women lawyers. They will also be hosting Justice Mary Yu, of the Washington State Supreme Court, as a keynote speaker to discuss professionalism and civility in the courts.

Wine and hors d'oeuvres will be provided and there is not cost of admission! So, come learn more and network with fellow lawyers.
