Don’t miss this opportunity to hear from attorneys who have participated in hiring at Hillis Clark Martin & Peterson, Perkins Coie, and the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. Learn what to do—and what not to do—to make a good impression and stand out from the crowd during the interview process. Fall OCI applications are due in July, and interviews will take place on campus the weeks of August 6, 13 & 20.

Washington State Minority and Justice Commission Annual Symposium

The Washington State Minority and Justice Commission is proud to announce that it will host its annual symposium on June 6, 2018, at Seattle University School of Law

This year’s symposium, Legal Financial Obligations (LFOs): Beyond Defining the Problem; Advancing Solutions, will be held in conjunction with Exploring Policy Implementation and Alternatives, a conference organized by the University of Washington Department of Sociology that will take place immediately after the symposium at Seattle University School of Law.

These events are FREE and open to the public. More details about the symposium will be posted on the Commission’s website closer to the symposium date.

The Washington State Bar Association is Hosting its Experience Exchange Event on May 31, 2018

  • This event is designed to match new and young lawyers and 3Ls with seasoned lawyers in the profession for facilitated interaction and meaningful engagement. Mentees from historically underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply.
  • This Experience Exchange creates an intimate setting over breakfast for mentees to connect with and learn from bar and bench leaders they might not otherwise have access to in the early days of their career.

The Center for Women in Democracy (CWD) is recruiting applicants for its 2018 Leadership Institute. CWD seeks 25 outstanding young women to spend five days at Seattle University learning skills that will feed their personal and professional development. Submit an application by April 20th

The 2018 CWD Leadership Institute will be held June 26-30 on campus at Seattle University. Attendees will be introduced to leading Seattle professionals for local non-profits, corporations, and government. They will have a chance to practice and refine their public speaking skills, wage negotiation strategies, and job search ability.
