The Korean American Bar Association of Washington (“KABA”) awards up to two (2) $1,000.00 scholarship to law student(s) attending a law school in Washington State. The scholarships are intended to recognize law student(s) who have demonstrated a significant commitment to community service, particularly service to the Korean/Korean American community. You need not be of Korean ethnicity to apply.
JUDGING CRITERIA
All applicants will be judged on the following criteria:
a. Community service and community involvement, particularly service to the Korean/Korean American community;
b. Academic achievement, work experience, activities, and post-law school goals; and
c. Essay.
There is no minimum G.P.A. requirement
SELECTION & NOTIFICATION
The scholarship recipient will be selected and notified by the KABA Scholarship Committee.
The award will be presented at the KABA Annual Banquet (Luncheon) on February 17, 2011.
Timeline
January 14, 2011: Applications are DUE.
January 21 - 28, 2011: Finalists contacted for interviews.
January 31 - February 11, 2011: Interviews
February 11, 2010: Notification
February 17, 2011: Scholarship Presentation at the KABA Annual Banquet
