networking.
Established
in 1883, the Seattle office of K&L Gates is both the city’s oldest and
one of its largest law offices. It offers clients a full spectrum of legal
services to emerging, middle-market, and capital market participants as well
as nonprofit, governmental, and private clients. Selected areas of service
include: corporate, litigation, electronic discovery, intellectual property,
labor and employment, benefits, bankruptcy, energy, real estate,
environmental, land use, and tax. We hope you’ll join us for this opportunity
to meet some of our lawyers working in these areas, and get to know us as an
office and a firm.
The
evening will begin with a tour of our Seattle office and an introduction to
some of our partners at 4:00 p.m., followed by a networking reception at 4:30
p.m. at Frolik Restaurant and Bar. Beer, wine, soft drinks, and appetizers
will be served.

Call for Authors: American Inns of Court Warren E. Burger Prize
The American Inns of Court invites judges, lawyers, professors,
students, scholars, and other authors to participate in its 2015 Warren E.
Burger Prize. Authors should submit an original, unpublished, 10,000–20,000
word essay on a topic that addresses the issues of excellence in legal skills,
civility, ethics, and professionalism. The winning essay will be published in
the South Carolina Law Review and the author will receive a cash prize of
$5,000. The submission deadline for the 2015 Warren E. Burger Prize is July 1,
