Seattle U Alumni Association Career Conversations: Back to Work & School
CAREER CONVERSATIONS
Back to Work & School
Join us for this interactive
session as we discuss how to achieve a healthy work-life balance during an
all-digital age.
WHEN: September
16, 2020
TIME: 7:30-8:45 a.m. (PST)
WHERE: Online via Zoom
Together, we will explore thoughts on what
normal means in our new world as well as ideas for choosing wellness
proactively in the workplace.
Ahead of the session, participants are invited
to listen to "The
Work-Life Balance Hack" from The Table Group's podcast, At The
Table with Patrick Lencioni. Mr. Lencioni and Tracy Noble
discuss how work-life balance has become more complicated than ever and discuss
a couple of ways to cheat the conundrum.
These facilitated conversations are intended to create a space for connection, learning and support. Attendees will take away frameworks to use to develop a healthy divide between their work and life.
If you have questions about the event please contact Stephanie Jamieson at jamiesos@seattleu.edu.

Seeking Alumni Volunteers for "Who You Know" Virtual Coffee Breaks
The commitment is just a half hour of your time and you’re welcome to use any virtual platform (FaceTime, Teams, Zoom, etc.) that works for you and the student. This is a great way to welcome a new member to the Seattle U Law community and connect with your alma mater. We don’t intend for this to be an ongoing mentorship commitment, just a one-time, get-to-know-you chat; so if you’re finding your days particularly full right now, this might be the perfect way for you to engage.
If you’d like to be paired with a 1L for a virtual coffee break, please email Erin Fullner, Director of Professional Development & Alumni Relations, by September 18. Later this month, you'll receive virtual networking tips to help you prepare, and the contact info for a 1L to reach out to. If you’re open to chatting with more than one student, please let Erin know.
