Employers Are Invited to Sign up for the NW Public Service Career Fair

The NW Consortium of Law Schools invites you to register for the 2025 NW Public Service Career Fair. This fair will be virtual on Friday, January 31 and in-person on the Lewis & Clark undergrad campus in Portland, OR on Saturday, February 1, 2025. Employer registration is now open and participation is free. Employer registration closes December 18, 2024 at 11:59 pm, but don’t delay! Please see important registration instructions detailed below.

Important Registration Instructions

When completing the registration for NWPSCF interviews, please note that interviews need to be 20 minutes and we will provide one (1) 15-minute break halfway through the afternoon. The total # of interviews in one day cannot exceed 12 interviews.

Resume Collection: We are also happy to collect application materials for you through a resume collection process and you can schedule interviews on your own timeline - preferably outside of our interview dates set out above. ***If you would like to use the resume collection option, please select Sunday, January 19 as the “interview date” when you register (this is an arbitrary system-required placeholder and all materials will be released on the same date).***

We welcome postings for students at any level as well as entry level attorney positions for our recent grads (i.e. rising 2L & 3L clerks, externs or interns, more experienced certified law students, post-grad clerks or attorneys, and both short-term and long-term opportunities.)

Why should you attend the NWPSCF?

Your organization can join the fair even if you are not actively hiring. Each morning of the fair, we open the floor for “Table Talks” - a chance for students to "hop" from Zoom room to Zoom room or physical table to table in one large ballroom - and learn about the importance of your organization and/or future opportunities.

If you are hiring, we can arrange interviews for you at the fair or organize a resume collection. The NWPSCF offers two convenient ways to hire for summer, fall, spring, or postgraduate positions. By posting your job through the fair, your opportunity can be viewed by students from across the region. If you would like to interview at the fair, we can schedule up to 12 students per day, each day of the fair. If you prefer to interview on your own schedule, we can collect student applications for you and provide them to your organization.

With a virtual day, you can join from anywhere. The past few years of virtual fairs proved we are able to welcome more employers than ever from across the country. Our Consortium students are open to opportunities anywhere - across the country or around the world; if you cannot join us in person, then we invite you to join us virtually.

The Northwest Consortium of Law Schools brings together ten law schools in the Northwestern and Rocky Mountain states that work together to enhance public service, employment, and professional opportunities for their students. The Consortium schools have worked together for three decades creating the annual NW Public Service Career Fair to introduce public service-minded law students to employers working to advance concepts of justice, fairness, and the well-being of the general public. The NWPSCF traditionally brings nonprofit employers, civil legal aid organizations, and government offices together with hundreds of law students.

The ten participating Consortium law schools are: Arizona State University, Brigham Young University, Gonzaga University, Lewis & Clark, Seattle University, University of Idaho, University of Oregon, University of Utah, University of Washington, and Willamette University.
