You don't have to know what area you want to practice in right off the bat; using your first job (or two) to build a varied skill set and explore options can help you find the right path for you.
"Be intentionally flexible," as David says. Most folks don't land right into their ideal job, so be open to things you may not have considered before - they can move you closer to your goals.
