2011 Equal Justice Works Conference and Career Fair

Attention all 2Ls and 3Ls!

If you are committed to or exploring the possibility of a career in public interest or with the federal government, consider attending the upcoming Equal Justice Works Conference and Career Fair the weekend of October 21-22 in Washington, D.C.! More than 130 public interest employers from across the country will be participating. Also, SU Law will be hosting its Third Annual Networking Reception for all D.C.-area Alumni on October 20, and all student Fair participants are invited to attend. This is a great way to get an instant network of contacts in D.C.!

CPD and AtJI will be offering stipends of $150 to support your attendance at the Conference and Career Fair and the SU Student-Alumni networking event.

If you are interested in attending, please make note of the following important information and dates:


  • EJW Registration is currently open. Students must register to see which employers are participating. Registration closes for students applying for interviews on September 12. If you only want to attend the conference and/or Table Talk, registration reamins open until October 6.


  • Applications for interviews go live for employers on Wednesday, September 14. Given the competitive nature of this process, we STRONGLY encourage you to work with Stacey Lara on your application materials. This year employers will be reviewing applications on a rolling basis, so it is imperative that you apply by September 14.


  • Employers notify students by Wednesday, September 28 whether they have been selected for an interview.


  • Applications for the SU stipend must be emailed to Stacey Lara by NOON on Thursday, September 29. Please submit a one page statement of interest detailing your interest in attending the Fair. Please note if you have interviews at the Fair, and with whom - preference will be given to students that have interviews.


  • Students will be notified if they have been selected to receive the stipend on Friday, September 30.


  • Students accept or decline interviews - September 30 - October 6


  • SU DC-area Alumni Networking Reception - Thursday, October 20


  • Equal Justice Works Conference and Career Fair - October 21-22
