The Pierce County Juvenile Court - Dependency and Probation Unit represents guardians ad litem and probation officers at Pierce County Juvenile Court. The office seeks a motivated law student intern to take on the following responsibilities and more:
- Legal research
- Drafting motions, responses to motions, declarations in support/opposition to motions
- Acting as support person during motion dockets, which includes filing court orders with clerk's office, meeting with attorneys as well as guardians ad litem and Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs), tracking status of motions, organizing motion pleadings, serving as court runner, and more
This opportunity is open to all law students, 1L-4L. Must be available on Wednesday afternoons after 1 p.m.
