The Alternative Dispute Resolution Board Invites You to Compete in the Client Counseling Competion

The Client Counseling Competition simulates a real client counseling session. Teams of two (both students act as attorneys) counsel a client through a legal issue. The goal is to demonstrate the team’s client counseling skills to a panel of judges comprised of attorneys from the community.

  • The competition will be held on Friday, October 14, from 5:00 pm to 9:30 pm
  • Top teams from ADR Board competitions win the opportunity to travel and compete in ABA regional competitions later this year
  • There will be two training sessions providing more information on the competition; to compete you must attend one:
    • Monday, October 3, noon to 1:00 pm in C6 (cookies provided); or
    • Tuesday, October 4, 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm in C7 (cookies provided)
The ADR Board is recruiting teams of two to compete and individuals to act as clients. The deadline to sign up is this Friday, Oct. 7th. Competitor and client sign-up sheets are posted outside the ADR Board office (Room 108) and on the ADRB TWEN page.

If you want to compete but do not have a partner, or if you have questions, reach out to Vice President of In-House Competitions, Colleen Mriglot.

Dinner will be provided for competitors and clients. Food and drinks are also provided at the competition reception.
