In this conversation, Judge Ayubi will share her insights on the current social, economic, and security situation in Afghanistan, as well as her unique perspective on the political transition in Afghanistan, and the role of Pakistan and India in Afghanistan’s future.
An active leader in women’s empowerment initiatives, Judge Ayubi will speak to how Afghan women are coping as they face increasingly violent extremist forces, and how political transitions in the U.S., Europe, and South Asia can impact the lives of women and girls in war-torn regions. She will also share recent reports and evidence of the state of women’s lives and security in the region from the Women’s Regional Network, a community of South Asian civil society leaders who develop “solutions, as a network, to address extremism, corruption and militarization of aid as they impact women’s security.”
